May I offer my sincere thanx, respect and kudos to the brilliant rescue crews manning the various weirs and sections of the river last Saturday.
From the paddlers on the water (sorry to the dude I capsised at Wrens nest!) to the wetsuited guys and gals on the weirs and in the water and on the banks, to the rope throwers and pullers and for those that rescued the boats and guided them to the shore also. Thank you all sincerely both for being there when I needed ye and also for making for a great and safe (and not near as frightening as it might have been) event.
Also a general thank you overall to the organisers of an absolutely top class and fun but also precision run event - a great and memorable day (And the weather obliged too!)
